Citi rewards

I have 65k in rewards. They expire soon. If I sign up for a citi credit card I get 20k more points.

That's a trip all together! I really need a trip..anywhere.

I don't need another credit card..really I don't..but that's very tempting.

What do you think?

Re: Citi rewards

I would sign up and get the points for your trip.

Re: Citi rewards

I think you do..you need to charge $1000.

I can do that with my eyes closed but applying for another card is holding me back.

Re: Citi rewards

if you don't have anything major coming up to check your credit report (buying a house or car) then go for it. That's a nice incentive.

It is..I may need to check on the cash out part. I have some expenses coming up that I could use cash temporarily.

Re: Citi rewards

It's the inquiry that will damage your score. Opening the account really shouldn't. Inquiries are typically 2-3 points. They drop off your report in two years.

I never let an inquiry prevent me from applying for a juicy card.
