Am I crazy to go to Splish Splash?

My friend invited me and James to go to Splish Splash with her and her daughters tomorrow (they're older - 13 and 17 years).

I told her we'd go, but I'm so nervous! What types of things do they have there for an almost 11 month old? Can I take him floating in the lazy river with me? We're getting a cabana, so I'm not worried about shade or anything. Can I bring in food for him or do I have to buy it there? Can I bring my stroller in? (only reason I ask is because my town pool won't allow strollers pas the check-in area)

I haven't been there since 1991. Chat Icon

I haven't been there in forever either.. But, I don't imagine they would let you take him for a ride in the lazy river. The carnival wouldn't even let Liam sit on a merry go round with me holding him and he only missed the height by 1 inch. I guess for insurance reasons they are pretty crazy about that stuff.

there is a kids section, i first took DD when she was around 8 months, and we went back this summer shes 2 & 1/2 now.

There is a kiddie section that is great, you can also go on the lazy river and the wave pool. There is also another section for older kids that you can go to, it's a larger pirate ship. There is def. enough for an 11 month to do as long as they enjoy the water.

I was there on Monday. DD is 2.5 and had a BLAST!!!!

ETA, you can't bring food in (they check your bags) but you can bring a stroller in.

you can bring the stroller in but no food. i would imagine that they would let you bring in baby food though just not regular food.

you can bring him with you on the lazy river and there is a kids play area and a few kiddie pools and places for him to play in the water.

Re: Am I crazy to go to Splish Splash?

We were just there Tuesday! My kids are older - but there was a kiddie area where my gf took her 3 year old.

I will be honest and say that on a TUESDAY it was super crowded.. I can't imagine what it would be like closer to the weekend. And even though the kiddie grounds say you have to be under 44 inches - it also says 'unless accompanied by a child'. There were a lot of bigger kids there and there was a lot of pushing and grabbing and stuff. My friends daughter got shoved a few times because she was taking too long to go down the slide.

It was great for the bigger kids - they loved the slides and tubes - but I really think a baby wouldn't have the best time in the world there. Especially since any snacks/food have to be bought in the park - or you have to pack a cooler and picnic outside the gates.

But - then again - I'm a big baby and I hate crowds and lines so I might be giving a tainted opinion!
