melts my heart
These sentiments melted my heart today...so lucky to have 2 in one night - gems like these are often few and far between
scene: dining room - dinner on the table
when: this evening
what: usual conversation
why: SS states out of the blue, "I wish this was my life." DH said, "What do you mean, it is your life." SS replied, "No, I mean I wish I lived with you my whole life. That it would have always been like it is now."

scene: in our bedroom - putting laundry away
when: this afternoon
what: discussing possible BM visit
why: SS - doesn't really want to go to visit his mom (she was supposed to fly up here to see him but things suddenly changed). She wants to see him for Mother's Day weekend...he has a baseball game that weekend. He wants to play baseball. I mention that it would be important for him to be with her on Moter's Day. He said, "I'll send her something I'll make in school and call her. I want to spend Mother's day here with you."
K, just had to share some good news....finally! lol

thanks for the compliments...comments like these are few and far between, but the older he gets, the more he realizes the stability we provide. i love him, even through the thick of it when thngs were REALLY tough...lol
here's to haivng these comments occur more frequently in all of our lives
