Has anyone lived in Africa or anyplace exotic?
DH jokes about moving to Bora Bora or Hawaii or someplace like that. I can imagine it, in the sense of giving up tv, malls, etc, but I can't imagine not having my family around the corner or leaving my job. But has anyone done it?

I'm Jamaican-born and I vacationed for 2 weeks at my family's place (re: no beach, countryside) and I was like - GET ME BACK TO AMERICA!
I'm way too spoiled.

I'm too much of a city girl to ever go somewhere without all of the comforts of home.... I've lived in Paris and Madrid, but that is about as exotic as I'm going to get!!! both were in modern apartments... and no malaria shots or anything like that!!!
