Re: Antigua

We went to Antigua on one of our stops on the cruise last year. We went to the beach right next to the Sandals resort...it was beautiful!!!

Re: Antigua

We went to Sandals and I have to be honest, the resort is very run down. And the people are not very friendly....

Re: Antigua

Ive been there a cruise stop very beautiful AND we looked into going to Sandals for our HM there too ( we chose Aruba and so happy we did) and the prices were so high and I looked up on travel advisor and it got poor reviews.

Re: Antigua

We went to Sandals Antigua a few years ago and had so many problems. We, along with other couples got a free trip out of it. I would not recommend going there. There were roaches all over the rooms (we changed rooms four times), some restaurants were close (meanwhile it was all inclusive), there were no bartenders so everyone helped themselves. It was pretty bad and even management admitted it to us. On top of it all, right where you enter the property from the beach, there is an armed guard that stands there. We ended up using our free trip for the Sandals in Bahamas. It was a lot nicer.

Like Stefanie, I went to Antigua as one of our stops. The beach was beautiful but it was not one of my favorite islands that we visited.

I felt the same way. It was the only island I have been to that when we went to the town, I immediately wanted to go back to the resort.
