Jen (mrsR) and Beth...

And any other EBF moms who started supplementing w/ formula...

Which formula are you using? I've been using gentlease because he's very gassy but I'm not sure he likes it. Which other formulas did you switch to after BM?

you could try soy formula

has it been 3 days yet? It can take some time for his system to adjust to the formula

We're on gentlease now. We've tried just about everything under the sun though. For some odd reason she will drink any formula but she's picky about her solids. Chat Icon

I use Similac Advance with Iron....

Have you tried Nestle good start? A lot of BF moms swear by it.

(Talia hated gentlease too!)

Re: Jen (mrsR) and Beth...

I went straight to soy formula because I noticed she has a reaction everytime I eat milk products. I use Similac Isomil and her gas has significantly decreased... no problems whatsoever with it.

Re: Jen (mrsR) and Beth...

The first time we changed formulas (from reg. enfamil to gentleease) we did so upon pedi.'s recommendation because she was having serious poop issues...

However the 2nd time (and the last) when we changed from gentleease to Good Start (I had such a hard time finding it in stock all the time) I did it on my own and just told the DR about it at the next visit.
