Talk to me about an evaporation line, little update 5/19

Update:

So I figure I would update whats going on, as I'm driving myself crazy lol. The only place open last night when DH and I finally had a min., was Wal-mart. DH picked up those equate things, apparently they re-did them and now they are clear and use blue ink. I HATE THEM!

So I use FMU this morning, and the big circle is ALL light blue, and looks like there could possibly be a a shadow, but when you turn it, its like a mirror and you just get a reflection.

DH just went to work and promised to pick up first response and I'll take that in the morning. Why can't this be more simple lol.

When do they appear?

Of course I'm over analyzing EVERYTHING, so I figure I would come on here and ask this question, instead of driving myself crazy.

So the last two mornings I've been using $ tree test, with FMU. Both today and yesterday there seems to be an evaporation line ((line where the 2nd line comes up, but no color)). From what I've read they usually show up after the 10 min. or whatever, when the test is no longer valid. Well why are mine showing up within 4 min.?

Now I'm really really early. I'm either 8 or 9 DPO, as I got my surge on the last monday evening, and I don't know if I O'd on tuesday or wednesday. So that is why I can't take a digital yet, or I would have lol.

I'm driving myself crazy over this. DH keeps telling me that it means nothing, that we just have to wait. But seriously this is AWFUL!

Sorry this is ridiculously long. And thank you to anybody who actually read it all. Anybody have this happen?

it's hard to say with $ tree tests because when the line shows up it's this weird faint purple color - which kind of looks like a shadow/evap line. i have seen both evap lines and positive tests with $ tree. the difference is that the evap line didn't show up until about an hour later, where the faint line was there within the time frame.

when i tested positive with this pregnancy at 12DPO, i got the absolute faintest of lines that i could not even take a picture of.

i love $ tree tests because they are so cheap, but they stink for early testing because you're never sure if the line is really there.

can you buy an FRER?

if you look in my album or at one of my first few posts i asked the same question, but the major difference was that mine had color, just barely, after the 10 minute mark at 9 and 10dpo. I kept testing, and it kept coming up faster (first it was after a few hours, then it showed up after 30 minutes, then it finally showed at 10 minutes). Turned out to be a bfp, but the 2nd line did have color on those first tests for me.

Hey! I am in the same boat as you! I was also going to ask about this. I am 8dpo took a test with the Dollar Tree test, and no line showed up right away but I checked after about 5 minutes and there is the absolute faintest of lines, but it looks greyish, I don't see any color to it

Ahh I'm not the only one, it just stinks! We're both still early, so hopefully they both turn into positives!


And Headoverheals I think your right, I'm going to go get a FRER for tomorrow AM, because I never saw this stuff with them before lol.

here's my experience: i tested at 9 & 10 dpo with a dollar tree test. Both days i got a faint line after sometimes almost an hour. i was coming up with a BFP on a FRER so that made me realize that the dollar tree tests take longer to come up when you test early. i do not think it is a false positive. GO GET A FRER!!! you can hold your pee for 4hours and take it tonight. those are my favorite. good luck and keep us posted

I think you should def go out and buy a FRER. That way atleast if the shadown faint line is pinkish....it should mean bfp. SInce u are seeing lines with no color- that usually is evaporation lines... ( but since they are coming up after 4 mins...they shouldn't be evap lines yet)

Buy a digital to take in a few days too....but go get some FRER


I had a similiar post when I got my BFP. It
took days for me to get a line....and all i kept seeing were shadow lines....(light pink though) but needed to squint to see or hold up to light). After several days that line finally became visible and then showed up on Digital.


So u have a good chance. Go buy FRER and update us!!!

I'd say there is still a chance! Maybe wait a day or so and test again but got get something other the $ tree! GOOD LUCK!

Yeah I am def. not using the $ tree or the equates ever again lol. I can't run out because my son is sleeping right now. I'll probably just wait till the AM, this way DH can pick one up on his way home from work tonight! Here's hoping that those lines are really lines lol
