Christmas lights on the roof...help! - Photo added

So, DH and I got into a rip-roaring fight this morning over the Christmas lights that we put on our roof. We use those swag lights with the bows which I LOVE but he's insisting are a PITA. He puts them up and they are constantly blowing up onto the roof or going out so he's going up there constantly to fix them. I need a new idea. I'm not really into the icicles or just a plain string of lights going across. Anyone have anything they do that's exciting?

I have seen strings of snowflakes. And I am dying to do that. But DH and I fight every year about the lights too. So odds are not so good.

WOW! I love how it looks in the pic! Screw the DH and his whinning about climbling on the roof in the wind and rain and snow and cold!

Thanks for the compliments on the lights, too. I love them as well, and you can never get a good picture of Christmas lights, so the picture does no justice.

I'm going to look around today in stores (we intend to do the lights this weekend), but I just wanted to see if anyone has any good ideas that they've done as far as lights are concerned because I'm stumped.
