FB people-what do you do about people who "steal" your pictures?
I have my settings to "Friends Only" to see my pictures.
We had a family wedding on Sunday and a LOT of people have right click and saved my pictures and uploaded them as their own
Anything I can do about this?

Unfriend them Sorry
Or do you mean that "friends of friends" can see these pics and are clicking and saving them?

I don't mind if it is people who were at the actual event or people who are in the photos. Sometimes people post pictures of me and tag me and I steal them because Im in it. Never thought it was a big deal. LOL. I guess if it is people just taking random pictures, you could block them from your photos or not post ones you don't want people to post on their walls.

ITA!!! If it was an event they were at as well or a picture they are in, etc. I wouldn't mind. And I understand that I am posting these pictures on the internet so basically anything can happen with them.
I think having your security settings on the friends only setting is a good idea. That's where my setting is as well.
Also, unfortunately this is a risk you take by posting pictures on the internet. There isn't much you can do to prevent this from happening other than not posting those pictures.

I can't unfriend them
That's possible, but it kind of annoys me that people are acting like THEY took the photo...

As annoying as it is, try to flattered that so many admire your photography skills enough to steal your photos and claim them as their own

Re: FB people-what do you do about people who "steal" your pictures?
- Post only pics with a "Logo watermark" on it.
- Register all your pics (not FB but it will protect you as a photographer).

Re: FB people-what do you do about people who "steal" your pictures?
you could always message the person and ask that they make sure the photo is limited to friends only. if it is a photogrpahy/artistic type photo, you could always leave a comment saying something like "I'm glad you enjoyed my photo enough to post it. I'm trying to experiement with my photography more and appreciate any feedback!"
That way you don't sound angry but it will show that the photo is obviously yours.

Comment on the photo that they put in their album "Wow! I'm glad you liked the pictures I took! Do you have any that I can post too?"

My SIL steals my pics of DS all the time! I just blocked her from the album. This way she doesn't know when I've added new pics of him. If you don't want to do that, I'd add a watermark like someone else suggested.

make lists and only allow certain people to see certain albums, its a PITA but worth it in the end. I have a few lists. there are some people that I just don't know well enough but I like to stay in touch with on FB but don't need to see my personal pics.

I was just B!tching to DH about how my SIL stole pictures of A.J.
Can you watermark them Kate? I don't know if that is the right terminology but maybe put a symbol on them so people won't get credit for pictures they didn't take????

ITA. If they take them, you can report it to FB as a copyright violation.
It's rarely done to me because I have my albums locked down to the few people in them. But I have never once considered watermarking my photos until I read this post.

Comment on their page that the photo was taken by you. My SIL did that to one of the pics I put up of DH and me... it never even occurred to me that she's a semi-pro/pro photographer and that it's only right to do that. I have given her credit ever since (I think ).
Or you can email them and explain that your pictures are your WORK and ask them to give you photo cred as the caption. I'd probably try this before my first suggestion.

I do this too and it really is a PITA. Also, I would never know if they save the images or not if they don't post them on FB which concerns me..

See, I don't even mind if someone ASKS me to email them the image so they can use it, but for some reason, I am offended by the right click, save, upload thing
