Re: blue granite countertops
the only blue I know of is blue bahia (sp?) It costs around $220 a square foot (when I did my kitchen a few years ago). I was quote 50k just to do my kitchen.
I know that there are other blue ones but that was the one we liked (looks like the last one that CaMacho posted).

Re: blue granite countertops
Blue granite is VERY Rare and very expensive. One of our clients has a granite wharehouse off of Rt 100.
He also has green granites and marbles too. which are pricey

If it makes you feel better, my DH has VERY expensive taste. It gets us EVERY time lol and when we went to the stone yard looking for the blue bahia, the guy laughed at us and told us that he'd fly down to Brazil himself to pick it out LOL We ended up finding it at a few stoneyards in LI, but it was very expensive.

Re: blue granite countertops
The one you posted is beautiful. We recently moved into our home that has blue in it but I am not sure the name and I know it was pricey. I am acutally not crazy about it because I think is limiting to color combinations, but it could be the grainte we have.
If you can do an island in your kitchen, what about using 2 different materials and doing the blue grainte on the island to keep the cost down.

That IS a gorgeus granite. I have seen one very similar when we were looking for ours. Was that pic taken at a granite place in Hauppauge???

Wow, what beautiful granite!
I think white, antique white, or cream colored cabinets would go great with granite that color.
