What size clothing and diapers for a 6 lb baby???
I had my final visit at Madonna today to rule out anemia from the Fifth's Disease that I had.
Baby Brody is perfect, but will only be about 6 lbs!!!!!! I never dreamed he would be soo tiny!!!!
Ava was 9 lbs and looked like a 3 month old from birth.
I met a woman in Target today with the sweetest but tiniest baby. I asked what he weighed and she said 6 lbs...
Not only am I afraid that I may break something sooooo tiny, I don't even think I have any clothes that will fit him. I think the smallest that I have is 3-6 mos. Everyone who bought us gifts just assumed, like we did that Brody would be big like Ava....
Help, what size clothing and diapers do I buy????

NB diapers
and K was 5lb 13oz when i brought her home.... she wore only NB clothing, and if I had any preemie stuff..... i'm sure that i could have gotten her into it with no problem!

My DS was 6lbs, 11oz and wore NB for almost 3months and NB diapers at first, then size 1's after about a month.
It isn't as tiny as you think

I would say pick up some 0-3 month outfits, and size 1 diapers- pampers swaddlers or the huggies newborn come in size 1's

My kids weren't that small and newborn stuff was HUGE on them. DD was 5.13 and DS was 6.10. They both wore preemie for a few weeks.

DD was 6lbs 1oz at birth. She wore preemie and NB diapers for the first 3 weeks. She also wore preemie clothes for 3 weeks.

DS was 6lbs 4 oz. He was in preemie for about 2 weeks then newborn for about 8 weeks. He didn't get into 0-3 until about 3 months.
eta: he was in newborn diapers for a bit too ... at least 2-3 cases of them.

NB swaddler diapers and NB and maybe some preemie clothes ( pull on pants, and onsies)...
Noah was 7.5 when we brought him home and the NB stuff was big on him for the first few weeks. We went to BRU and bought Preemie Pull on pants from Gerber and Shirts and onsies, he worse almost nothing but those for the first month.

Dylan was 5lbs, 12oz when he was born. He is 3 weeks old and still in NB diapers and NB clothes. Most preemie clothes is 6lbs and under so I would not get them (or at least don't wash them). He is just over 6 lbs now and still wearing the NB clothes and it is still really big on him!

DS was 6 lb 13 oz when he was born and 6 lb 8 oz when we took him home. He was in both NB diapers and clothes for about 6-8 weeks

My son was 6lbs-4oz and he wore NB clothes and diapers for about a month. I would recommend buying 5-6 NB outfits and lots of 0-3. They grow quick!

My girls were 5lbs, 7 oz and 5 lbs, 14oz. Both would easily have fit in preemie clothes but I just didn't want buy it. They wore NB for months. 0-3 was way too big. NB dapers too.

DD was 6 lbs 4 oz at birth and dropped to 5 lbs 9 oz by the time we left the hospital. She was in newborn swaddlers and newborn clothes until about 3 months. I found that the newborn gerber onesies ran a little bit smaller than the carters ones so they seemed to fit her better in the beginning.
Most of the clothing I received as gifts was 0-3 so I had to stock up on some newborn on my own.

this is so funny! we were writing at the same time and i wrote the same thing about the gerbers! now i hate gerbers though because they are tooo small!
