Roseola?
OK, so we finally know what Bella had that caused the very high fever she had for three days. . .it appears to be roseola?
My question is: She has been feverless since later in the day on Friday and had a slight (very slight) rash yesterday that is more noticeable today from her neck to her belly...will it get worse?? And for how long? Wil daycare not allow her to come in?
She appears to be feeling 100% better, I just don't know what to do and the doc didn't give me specific instructions although he said that this might happen.
He just said it was viral and had to run it's course. . .
ETA: she has been sick since last Wednesday.

From what I knew, when the rash comes out they are no longer contagious. The rash usually lasts about 2-3 days.

yup, the rash comes as the virus leaves. Loevly isnt it. I would check with your MD in the AM but I am pretty sure she can go back to day care.

My youngest daughter had this. The rash appears as the fever leaves and when it does, she is not contagious anymore. It lasts for about a week. My daughter had a rash over her entire body. There really isn't anything you can do for it. It is viral and needs to run it's course. Don't know about the daycare question. You'd have to ask them.

Thanks everyone  I called the doc as well and you are all right she is no longer contagious...but the rash can lust up to 5 days
Poor Bella, I am just glad she's feeling better....

I would say she's fine to go back to daycare. As soon as Maddie wasn't contagious, she was allowed back..

do you think I need a doctor's note, the rash seems to be getting more pronounced today and I am not sure if it will be this way tomorrow...

glad she is feeling better. My daycare would want to see a doctor's note stating what she had and that it was not contagious.
