When it comes to negotiating, DH defers to me. I have the experience. He's obviously on the "same page" as me in terms of what we're negotiating for, but I do the majority of the talking.
He deals with all of the "house" stuff in terms of contractors, repairmen and such.

Like a car, house, etc....who does most of the talking to the salespeople, realtor, contractor?
I find that I am the one who takes over and does the talking and asks the questions while DH takes it all in.
same here, its me for the most part (and I always get a kick on how they keep trying to talk to DH  )
But if its something like the purchase of a snow blower... its all him since he knows what bells and whistles he needs LOL

DH and I will discuss things beforehand, but, when we get to it, I let him do the talking. He's pretty good at it and knows what he's doing.

Sometimes I'll even excuse myself from the conversation and walk away so my face doesn't "read" anything different from what my DH is saying/questioning.

I love buying cars and automatically they discuss the engines with my DH. I chime in about cylinders, fuel economy, tiptronics and the salemen always seem surprised. Like girls can't know about cars. For all other purchases its pretty equal as well.

My husband does! He is in sales for a living, so he knows how to sweet talk & almost always gets money off & gets the best deal possible! He did great with our wedding negotiations!!!

DH does the talking but apparently I must give a real unhappy "look" , so we work it together
b/c when we went to buy a car DH did the talking but I wasn't liking what the dealer was saying so , he said "well, i don't think your wife is happy with this, maybe we can find something else for you guys"

If its Home improvement related i will take over because i am in the business and tend to know when we are being ripped off. if its mortgage tax money related since he is a former cpa he wil usually deal with those situations

If its anything regaurding electronics, computers or surround sound he talks, anything else its normally me. DH admits hes to nice about certain things and needs my "meaness" with others. If it was something like a house we would both ask, but mostly me.

I always want him to be the talker - but he doesn't ask enough questions - so I end up jumping in a lot. We just bought a car and he did all the work though, I was never there with him. But I sure wish I was! I think we're getting a rotten deal on financing.
