What's with employers looking to hire
and not showing up for interviews and just ghosting people?
My coworker's husband is looking for a job and he has done in person interviews, on the phone interviews and they all say they will get back to you or call him by a certain day and then they just ghost him.
One actually he went for an interview, the guy never showed up at all.
In this day and age of technology it is horrible that there is less communication and it seems people just don't care about anyone else but themselves.

and it is not like just one or two, she said it is multiple places. Then the places say they can't get anyone to come in for an interview or stay working there. How about hiring a person who has experience who wants to work? SMH

I also had it happen to me after 3 rounds of interviews and the last interview going 30 minutes over. Like why keep me talking just to ghost me later. So frustrating.

Pretty much.
I look at it as - if I don't hear from them, I didn't get the job.
Kind of like a reverse regrets only RSVP. 
But the interviewer not showing up for an in person interview-- that's super unprofessional and rude!

I just don’t think there is common courtesy anymore. We live in a “me me me” world nowadays

Yeah I get the no call, no job thing but she said they literally tell him to call back a certain day to talk to them and then they are "not in" and the receptionist will tell him they will call him back. This has happened multiple times.

Absolutely and I hear stories all the time about companies not showing up to give estimates for home things.
Social media has made everything about themselves it seems and there is really no consideration for others anymore.

The interviewer not showing up is so unprofessional! At least have the courtesy to cancel and don't waste people's time.
