Mad rant
I just need to vent because I'm not one to post personal stuff on social media. The day before yesterday my husband tested positive for covid. My daughter was supposed to come home from college. She only has a week in between medical rotations and was I really looking forward to this family time. But now she can't come home. Her next rotation is with maternity and infants, and she just doesn't want to risk it. She's only allowed to miss two days of the program, or she has to repeat the rotation. I'm so sad.
On top of that my mom is in the hospital and not in great shape and I can't go see her. And I am in denial but I feel like I'm getting it also. I'm just so over all this.

I’m sorry! That’s so frustrating and disappointing about your daughter and frustrating and stressful about your mom.
My dad wasn’t doing well this year and contracted Covid so we couldn’t visit him which was frustrating and stressful as he was asymptomatic and there was nothing we could do. I had to have a friend who was a nurse bring his belongings in.

I'm so sorry. I hope your husband feels better soon, hope you don't get it, and I'm really sorry your mom is in the hospital. I'm sorry your daughter can't make it home, but you raised a responsible caring young woman who knew the right thing was to skip it to keep those babies safe. Goid job to you!

The irony is (at least it would be for me) is that you were probably not sick all year and the ONE time you want your daughter home and need to go see your mom, this happens.

Sounds like a terrible horrible no good very bad day.
Its terrible that almost 3 years later Covid is still messing with us.
Maybe you can plan a trip to visit your daughter when everyone is feeling better.

Thanks everyone. Unfortunately, I tested positive as well on Friday. On top of feeling emotionally awful now I feel physically awful as well. I know that this too shall pass. It just sucks at this time of year. I think I need to stay off social media because seeing everyone’s family gatherings makes me sad. Thanks for listening, I appreciate your kind words!
