Last week was horrible for me too! 22 year old out of state called in hysterics because she had her first car accident. Calling every day about rental cars and insurance. Son has a terrible cold too. It just never ends.

Oh that sucks!! I've been living that for months now myself!
I got rear ended at the end of Sept and it's been a nightmare. I couldn't even take my car into the shop until early Nov due to so much confusion with insurance and the body shop etc. And now I still don't have it back due to them finding a ton more damage when they removed the bumper (looked minor but apparently it wasn't) and part shortages
.
Upside is I'm driving a BMW X7 now as a rental but I want my car back already! I'm not a fan of huge SUV's so as nice as it is, I'm not comfortable driving it.

The main thing is nobody was hurt though- is she ok?

She is okay, thank you. Just shaken up. She got rear ended and also hit the car in front of her. So rear and front damage. And even though it looks not so bad I suspect there could be internal damage and so I had them come tow it in for the estimate. Took them a week to even get that done. I suspect this will be a long process with the shortage of car parts lately.

Yes it's taking forever with the parts. I was so upset too, I couldn't even figure out how to dial 911 or call my DH. I was just like in shock. And it wasn't even a bad hit- just unexpected and so upsetting.
I'm glad she's ok though- that's the main thing.
The cars will get fixed eventually.
I swear, driving is so damn scary these days. You can do everything right and someone comes along not paying attention or driving like an asshole and bam! you are involved in an accident

Omg this week is not starting off any better. Calgon needs to take me FAR away lol.

Yesterday kids get into fight. My oldest needs to study but there is literally no place for them to do that in the house quietly, especially on a Sunday. Too late to go someplace out of the house.

Wake up this morning, youngest has a toothache and calls into work.

Dog licking themselves non stop so there goes any sleep I was hoping to get lol.

I have the day off and will have all of them at home with me and honestly every time I get a day off lately, it is never a day off. Someone is home and complaining about something.

Hubby bored out of this mind and driving me nuts.

Sorry just needed to vent.

That sucks, I'm sorry. Do you have a basement or garage you can carve a small space to create a quiet study area? Their bedroom? If not, noise canceling headphones maybe?

Basement not finished as well as garage. I work from home in the living room with a snack table as a desk lol.

Yeah I will have to see if the headphones will work. Tonight they have class online and can’t go outside to do it like they have been lately.

Try out the headphones and see if they work. But you can make an unfinished basement or garage work with just a few things. You don't have to spend a lot or do major work and you can just do a small area big enough for a desk or table and chair. It just has to be a functional space. With some paint, an area rug, lighting, and maybe blackout curtains as a partition it would look nice. Or you can make a bigger area and put a couch, TV, and small fridge down there to give the kids a separate hangout space so you get some quiet upstairs and one stays down there while the other studies quietly upstairs. I don't know, just some ideas.

The issue is no heat or outlets to use in both places :(

It is. We muddled through Monday's 4 hour (zoom) class. Everyone separated and it was fine. I think there are like 6 more weeks of this Chat Icon
