JFK Air Train
Hi. We're going to JFK next week and would like to take the AirTrain. I see that the cost is $8 per person. There is also a 10-trip MetroCard for $25. (I presume that is geared towards workers at the airport.)
Does anyone know if the 10-trip card can be used for multiple people? For example, we swipe it 3 times for me, my hubsand, and my daughter to get on the train and then do the same on our way home.
I know with the regular unlimited Metro-Cards, you can't swipe at the same station within 2 hours or so (not sure exactly). But, this isn't unlimited. It's 10 trips. So, couldn't we use 10 trips together?
Does anyone know? I can't find anything on the website.

Have you used it before? This requires a swipe. It's not like the LIRR 10-trip pass that the conductor punches. I know you can use a 10-trip for multiple people on the LIRR, but I wanted to double check about the Air Train. Thank you!

I would imagine you can just swipe it, pass it to the next person and so on.
It's really just a metro card

Yup, it’s the same as using a metro card. You swipe it until the money runs out.

I can't imagine this working, or else everyone with families would do it? There must be time restrictions. I mean, maybe not, but that seems a little too good to be true.
I delved into this a little more in a travel group I'm in and you can swipe up to 4 times consecutively. Then you have to wait. So you should be good

I was thinking it was too good to be true also! They totally don't advertise that it can be used for multiple people. I also did some googling after I posted the question and it looks like it can be used up to 4 times. We're only 3 people, so after our vacation, we'll still have 4 trips left on the card. I may give it to people I see going to the train as we're walking out.

Yes, you can scan one after the other. I have done it with my family of 4.
