Biden has Covid
Wonder how come he doesn't have to quarantine and not for 10 days that they just recommended for my friends aunt who is his age.

I was going to post about Biden and Covid. But my question is, didn’t he recently have it within in the past year? Or is time just flying by.
I thought it was 5 days and like you said it was a recommendation for your family not a mandate. The doctors are probably being cautious due to their age. Who is really quarantining now? I know many people who have been exposed and aren’t testing unless they show symptoms. Companies don’t even care anymore, they need people to work.

I don't think he did but I could be wrong.
I think it is 5 days now as that is what people I work with have done. This one woman in FL was told 10 which is ridiculous.

Knock on wood, and as far as we know, none of us in my house had it. I was unvaccinated the longest too and didn't avoid crowds and places without a mask.

Same here. DS was exposed multiple times and we *think* he got it last week. DS's friend tested positive on the same day DS was having a minor sore throat. I'm pretty sure what I have right now is covid (even though I tested negative) and I got it from him.

No, she developed symptoms. She went to visit a friend in Manhattan for the weekend and about 3 days later ended up with flu like symptoms, I'm guessing the new variant that's going around. She's at grad school in NJ, so she had to do online classes for 5 days. But fine now!

If you are out and about and living normally, you probably just don’t know you had it.
I have had my antibodies tested via normal bloodwork several times, as has DH and we never had any antibodies but who knows.
I also haven't had any sickness to where i can say hey maybe that was Covid.
So if i did have it, I was totally asymptomatic and never developed an antibody.
Who knows.
They can study my body when I die- I've always been a medical anomaly!

I read some article that they believe some people may have natural immunity to it. They want to eventually do studies to find out if that's the case, and if so, what about those people causes it

I read some article that they believe some people may have natural immunity to it. They want to eventually do studies to find out if that's the case, and if so, what about those people causes it
My oldest thinks they are immune as they were exposed so many times and never got it. Tested a million times too. Stayed home about a week in the beginning and that was it. Masked only where required only.

It was the same here. DS has been playing baseball since summer 2020 and maskless. I didn't use to go out that much at the hard of the pandemic, but he was exposed multiple times because school, baseball and other activities. At the end, I don't know if what he had last week for 2 days was covid since it was so subtle. It could have been allergies. But I think that's the case and I have it, even testing negative. I can be wrong too, so, so far, I still can say I've never had covid since all my tests have come negative. And I'm not testing just because, but I have been abroad to my home country plenty of times, so I've had to test every time coming back here.

Yes of course! I’m sure there are still many people that haven’t. Thad said, i used to think some people were just immune since it was so crazy that I had friends that everyone in their house had it and they never got it but there are so many different strains every few months or so that doesn’t seem the case anymore. I have one friend her husband had it twice - he never quarantined away from her and literally they slept in the same bed. It was the original covid and then the first omnicron, she never got it. Then bam, two months later, she got covid and pretty bad. Another friend is a paediatrician. Literally sees kids with covid every day. At one point his whole family including Extended family had it after an big indoor family gathering . and he didn’t get it. He assumed he either had it asymptomatic at some point or was immune from constant exposure in his profession. Well two months ago, with no known exposure he ended up with covid, sick for an entire week. So I think personally which each strain some people may be immune but to be immune from every strain that has or will arise , I doubt it, at this point I actually think it’s a good thing to have had covid because it’s not going away and better for our bodies to have some natural recognition in case some really crazy awful strain is on the horizon.
Also having gone through it first hand I know the tests are completely unreliable. My daughter had symptoms for one day, next morning was totally fine. and that day of the symptoms tested negative and the day after. When she had been symptom free for two days, then she tested positive. My husband definitely had it but kept testing negative. After that experience I don’t believe anyone knows for sure,

You probably have but don't know it. When I had it, I had cold symptoms. My kids had it around Christmas and two of them had no symptoms. My youngest had it recently again and it was just cold symptoms.

You probably have but don't know it. When I had it, I had cold symptoms. My kids had it around Christmas and two of them had no symptoms. My youngest had it recently again and it was just cold symptoms.
Maybe. Or maybe not. Who knows.
I haven't been sick (even a cold) since 2020 so if I did have it was 100% asymptomatic and I made no antibodies.

I haven't had it, while everyone else around me has gotten it during this latest wave. But I'm also being really careful b/c I was on chemo last year and I don't want to find out what happens if I get it. I'll likely be fine since I've had 2 shots and 2 boosters, but I also don't I want to be one of the few that has long haul symptoms.
