NY Isolation and Quarantine camps coming
The bill A416 for Isolation and Quarantine has been pulled because of the all the push back they received from us.
They (she) are now sneaking regulation as a "health regulation". This will give her the power to basically arrest and indefinitely detain people as suspected health threats. There will be no due process, no hearing, no lawyers and now judges.
Whatever "side" you are in, this is wrong!
Please reach out and make your voices heard to Albany. February 14th is the last day to put in a comment to the Governors office. This is wrong and so scary!!

Yes but now she wants it to go through the Health Dept so it doesn't need Senate/Assembly approval.

There’s an argument going on on our local FB page about how kids can’t unmask at school as they can bring Covid home to someone who’s immunocompromised still. There were 8 cases in our district last week… we are now starting test to stay… there is mitigation in place to attempt this.

1. Masks do not prevent the kid from getting covid or bringing covid home.
2. Masks are not being banned. Kids can still wear them if they want to.
3. We never did this for any other virus or illness.
4. Children are being harmed. We should not sacrifice children to maybe possibly protect adults.

I agree as well. I feel the points they are using are points from earlier in the pandemic. Everyone except those under 5 can get vaccinated now. So the vulnerable should be protected from severe illness at this point, no matter what their age - they shouldn’t place the weight of the pandemic on the kids - many of whom are vaccinated themselves.

Personally I think this is just rumors and fear mongering so people get on the side of anti masks and anti covid vaccines etc.
Which is fine to be anti those things. What is not ok is fear mongering and lying to try to proof a point. (And yes this goes for both sides)
Also I am not calling out the poster I am quoting. I just want to know where people actually have proof this is what she is trying to do. Cause as stated the bill has been removed which as been around way before covid If it’s the same one I am thinking of.

It's the link that the OP posted. Basically, instead of a bill - it's going through as a DOH regulation instead.

i posted the link to the NY DOH its all there. I also stated that the actual bill has been struck down because of all the backlash it got.
Now because they didn't get their way, they are going to use the backdoors way around it. yes, this bill has been around since 2020/2021. They wont give up till they get their way.

I will sound like a conspiracy theorist, but I think there are ulterior motives, and much of this has never been about Covid. It’s about redesigning society and taking control away from the people. It’s frightening.

Actually the original bill has been around since 2015 or 2016 when Ebola outbreak‘s were going on.
I still read it and don’t see the doom and gloom everyone is taking from it.
Pretty Confident they’re not gonna open quarantine camps but hey I could be wrong.
