Re: Antibody testing in kids
DH and I had COVID last year. Our kids didn't have symptoms and weren't tested. I got 2 of them antibody tests at their well visits and they came back positive. The third didn't want a blood draw. If she needs blood taken for something else I'll probably add on the antibody test
ETA - if you ask for the test, specify the quantitative test if you want to see the level of antibodies. There is also a qualitative test (only tells you positive or negative).

Antibody testing in kids
My sister tested my nephew since her husband and two daughters had it and my nephew never did. He had high levels of antibodies but was never sick and was tested using antigen and PCR tests multiple times and was always negative.

Re: Antibody testing in kids
DH, DD and I all had symptomatic COVID and I figured there was no way my son didn't have it despite being asymptomatic. We were all tested for antibodies a few weeks after recovering and all four of us tested positive.
We had the test done at the pediatrician, they did it for all of us and the results were back in about 15 minutes. It was a simple finger prick blood draw.

Re: Antibody testing in kids
No because my daughter would freak out over a blood test and I won't do it to her unless medically necessary. Besides even if they had it, they can get it over and over again like the flu so past infection doesn't even matter

Re: Antibody testing in kids
We had covid. My youngest daughter never tested positive but I figured she has to have had it. My husband and son tested positive for antibodies and me and my older daughter tested negative, despite having had covid. We were both very mild thou. So even if your son had it he may not test positive for antibodies.

Antibody testing in kids
I had all three kids tested for antibodies, and they all have them. I’m pretty sure when one of them had Covid, no clue about the other two.
The schools have probably reached here immunity. No need for all the ridiculous restrictions.
