Oily hair solutions?
Not for me...my hair is so dried out from years of color, heat and abuse that I could go a week without washing it and it still would be bone dry.... 
But my daughter, omg it's gross. She will wash it at night and by the time she gets home from school it's looking oily at the roots again. We don't use any products in her hair so I know it isn't from product overload or anything.
I find that almost all shampoos are geared towards dry hair, frizz, damage etc.
It's hard to find a shampoo for oily hair.
Anyone have oily hair? What do you use?

I had this issue when I was young too and still do. Washing my hair in the AM was the only thing that helped. Also if she touches her hair a lot that can make it oily. Best shampoo I used was the Biolage but it’s pretty expensive but it helped a lot

Oily hair solutions?
Is she rinsing all the shampoo/conditioner out of her hair completely? And only putting conditioner on her ends? I’ve noticed the same thing on my daughter when she doesn’t rinse well enough.

Was it the clean reset shampoo by Biolage or another one?

I definitely stress to her to only put conditioner on the ends. I've watched her do it to makes sure.
As far as rinsing well I probably should go in and help her but now that she's 10 she wants to shower on her own, so I get it.

Yes I have to find a good one
Some of them leave such a gross residue and she complains her hair feels weird I use a dry shampoo myself for texture, so I get it, it definitely gives a texture.
I think Living Proof makes one that supposedly is good- actually cleans the hair. It's pricey but I might invest in it for in between washes with her

I find the Living Proof dry shampoo has such a strong smell-like an old lady perfume smell.

I’ve been using living proof for the past two months and like it. I can’t wash my hair a lot because of the type of hair I have. But workout everyday so it was always greasy.
One of the bloggers has a promotion. Spend $30 get a free dry shampoo and free shipping. I just bought the deep conditioner treatment and got the dry shampoo for free.

I have this problem and so does my daughter. Daily shampooing (in the AM is best but she usually showers at night) is really what works. Dry shampoo before bed is helpful but I've never found one that doesn't make my hair look dull and feel grimy.
My hair is definitely damaged from highlighting and heat styling but the roots still get greasy. Best of both worlds 
I'm so jealous of people who don't have to wash and style their hair daily!

Could be. I think I heard this as well
I have her doing it every other day.
I've also switched her to washing it in the morning rather than at night.
We'll see if that helps at all

Oily hair solutions?
Instead of using dry shampoo I've been using a texturizing spray. I like it so much better. I'm using Oribe right now which is $$$, but they do sell a trial size. I would go to ulta and try a few trial size products before spending $$$ on something that may not work. I'm in the dry ends (from highlights) but greasy roots club. Ugh.

Oily hair solutions?
Tell her not to put conditioner on her scalp- only on the ends of her hair. I did this and it made a huge difference.
