Birthday Donuts Instead of Cupcakes
DS is not a big fan of cupcakes or cake in general, but loves donuts. His birthday is coming up soon as I was thinking of doing donuts instead of cake for his birthday party. Has anyone done this? Are there places besides Dunkin Donuts that would box the donuts up in the shape of his age? I’ve heard good things about Glenn Wayne Bakery and Doughology is opening nearby, but I’m not sure if they will be open in time for his birthday.

We have done this for my nieces birthday. We used Glenn Wayne they are her favorite donut place.

I love Doughology- they already have a location in Lynbrook so they might do a drop off. Or if you're able to pick up from there, it's worth it.

We did donuts for a fw years with my son who doesn't like cake. We did DD with the age donuts once.
I don't know any others that do the age thing, but if they're cool donuts, skip the number.
Also check out Duck Donuts in Hauppage for some awesome donuts.

You can always just get a bunch of donuts from anywhere and arrange them into a number yourself.
I'm sure that's super easy.
And I agree with Glen Wayne.
Holy shit, those were the freshest donuts I ever ate even on the 2nd day.

We went to a party where they had donuts in place of cake. One thing I’ll say is I think it’s best to get all donuts the same because my son happened to get lucky getting the donut he wanted, but I do remember other kids being disappointed that there were no more chocolate, etc.. for example.
