That's a great time! I love early bday parties so we have the rest of the day.

ETA: It's also my only 2 days home, but it's my only 2 days to get errands done and spend time with family and friends, so I prefer earlier in the day.

I feel the same way.

I think it only matters if it works for you. If that’s the time that you want, you should definitely do it.
That said, unless it’s family or a close friend we wouldn’t be attending.

It's my only 2 days of the week to not have to wake up and rush.

Exactly, even though my son gets up at 7, i do not feel like doing the whole morning rush thing I do every day during the week on my day off.

Plus I don't get up with him - haven't for years. But I guess I am the only parent that doesn't lol.

I am counting down the minutes until DD can go downstairs, make herself breakfast and glue herself to the tv. When does it happen, Sash, when???

Chat Icon Agreed! I count it as a win that now that she's in her big girl bed at almost 3 that she gets up, uses the bathroom, and plays quietly in her room for an extra 1/2 hour on the weekends before standing over me in bed telling me she's hungry. Perfect timing since I'll have a newborn again in 4 weeks. Chat Icon

Around 7 or 8 he would pour his own cereal. 9 was when he started using the microwave to make oatmeal or toaster oven for waffles. At 5 -6 I would pour the cereal and sleep for a bit while he watched tv lol.

We had DD’s 6th bday at a place that only does 9:30am parties, before they open to the public for business. I was worried that the time would deter people from coming, but we wound up having 22 out of 25 kids say yes! It was great because we were home before noon.

Is this too early--- party question

I’m a very early riser so an early party is ideal to me. I either go running at 6:30 or the gym at 7 am. I hate afternoon parties. They take up the entire day.

Sash OMG we are spirit twins!! I am the same way-- pour the cereal then go back to bed for 1/2 while my 5 and 7 year old eat said cereal. Some days I am lucky and 7 year old will get the cereal ready for both of them on her own without waking me up. I dont do mornings very well!!

Which is why for me I am not a fan of early morning parties to be honest but it is significantly less expensive that a party later on in the day and my daughter really wants it at this place-- so obvioulsy i will suck it up for my own daughters bday but just wondering how many other moms dislike early mornings as much as I do... seems many would prefer it or at least wouldnt mind it.. Thanks for your responses ladies!

Is this too early--- party question

Way too early for my family- I would decline unless it was a close friend or family member

Depends because for us it would be OK (except for a Saturday when my DD has dance) but I know some of our family members are late risers so we could never book a party then.

Removed some quotes for length..

Chat Icon phew I’m not alone lol.

Seems like people will make it and it’s what your daughter wants. Plus it’s great for your pockets. Go for it! It’s worth it.

Too early for me personally. If you can push it back to at least 10 that’s bit more reasonable I think....

Same.

Agreed!
I Love weakly parties but 930 is a tad too early.

My sons birthday tomorrow starts at 9:45am. Doesn’t seem to be keeping anyone from coming. We have 35 kids coming.

Is this too early--- party question

Dd’s Party is at 915am on a Sun this year. People will come if they want to. I’m not concerned.
