Facebook pet peeves.
I need to unfollow so many people becaus they make me nutty. Dh’s Family shares everything they see. Random nonsense because Facebook tells them to.

I have this woman on my friend's list who constantly shares things about lost dogs, lost kids, etc. But 99% of the time, if you click the link it's about a lost dog or lost child from 6 years ago and you can see they have been found already by reading the comments.
She also shares all kinds of things like- Don't drink this brand of bottled water, gang members are poisoning it with a needle through the cap. And then you go to snopes, or even the comments and it's disproven.
I hate that shit.
Don't just share fake news without researching it.

People who post “I’m trying to see who my real friends are” . . . If you are my friend paste and copy this in your status, don’t share, blah blah blah.
I’m your friend. I love reading your post. I see no correlation between me cutting and pasting something on my FB page, which I never post on anyway, and our friendship.

My husbands aunt just shared a post from god knows who. It’s off a woman giving someone the finger. The caption said it’s professor so and so from some college and this is how she celebrated Barbara bush’s Passing. What?!?? I have no idea why they do this shit. Makes me nuts. Glad I’m not alone

Posts about missing people that omit one crucial detail - where did they go missing from ?
I'm not going to be on the lookout for someone that went missing in North Dakota.

The Amen posts. The repost it statuses. The My mom will buy me a brand new Ferrari if I get 2 gazillion likes. The MLM posts— no, I don't want your snake oil
If people vague book, then I just scroll over it— that’s not my problem.
Just give me pics of family and friends on vacation or doing something. And more dog and cat posts would be nice.
I especially hate the way FB organizes it. I miss when they used to have it in time order. I also don’t like how they do the algorithm works. If Iike or post on somebody’s photo, etc. , then I only get that person in my feed.

People that post "live" events. No one is so important that there needs to be a live event and I certainly don't need a notification of it! I hate that I can't unsubscribe from someone's live events on my phone and have to wait until I get to a computer for the option.

But then again, she checks in from EVERYWHERE, including the dentist.
Surprised she doesn't stream live video of her root canal.

I hate that too!! you are a concert, big fuking deal.
I don't need to see a crappy cell phone video of Imagine Dragons from about 150 rows back and 400 feet up with people standing in front of you blocking the view and the sound all tinny and muffled and drowned out by all the noise in the arena.
Unless you are a news reporter, you don't need to be broadcasting live.

thats actually true though... A professor from Fresno went on a twitter and said she was happy she died.

this is my biggest pet peeve. People post this just for attention!!
Disclaimer I apparently did this once in a while when I first went got on to FB (which was probably close to over a decade ago  ) according to my on this day section but there were not nearly as bad as I see people do!!

this annoys me too with the missing child and most of the time you don't even have to read the comments to see if the child was missing the freaking article says it when you open it and read it!!

When people post memes that aren't funny but are based on incorrect facts. It takes two minutes to verify something. For example, there was a chart going around about well-know charities, how much they paid their CEO and how much went to the actual cause. Nearly every "fact" was wrong.
I also saw a photoshopped pic of Hillary Clinton and Osama Bin Laden posted on a hs classmate's page. Someone very nicely posted that it wasn't real and she said "I don't care." So there's also those people who post stuff they know isn't true, but it fits with their beliefs so it's all good.

OMG did you see the one with Britney Spears when she had her shaved head and was attackign that car with an umbrella and someone put it was a Parkland shooting survivor at a protest.
It had to be a joke obviously, I mean everyone knows that is Britt in like 06 or whatever. But people were jumping on it saying- what a bitcch, she needs to be in jail,etc
And others were like- umm, that's Britney Spears from like 11 years ago.
It scares me the dumb people populating this earth
