at 6 high back booster. (using the regular seat belt)
At almost 8 that is what she is still in.
I think she was 6 when we converted her convertibile car seat to a high back booster using the seat belt.
That was too bulky though and we had a hard time buckling the seat belt around it so we ditched for a $40 high back booster that she is still in now

What's your 6 year old in (in the car)?
He's in a high back booster. He's in the 17th percentile for weight, I'm not sure about height, but he's small for his age.

Dd will be 6 in a few weeks and is in a 5pt harness. No plans to change at this point.

My 6 yo is almost 7 and he’s in a five pt harness. He’s only 44 inches and about 42 lbs though.

5 point harness in my car, but for carpools sometimes a booster (high back or backless). Size wise a booster would be fine, but i don't see any reason to switch over until at least 7 or 8.

5 point harness since 2 years old. But we will switch to a booster when we go to 3 in a row with a new car.

My 7 old is still in a 5 point harness booster seat. I still haven't let her wear a seatbelt. Mostly cause I am just lazy also because I feel she is safer. For her before care and camp, I let her use a high back booster with a seat belt. Those were short trips and I started when she was almost 6.

Still carseat with 5 point harness, she has not outgrown the limits for it. My DS was in a highback carseat with 5pt harness until late 1st grade. He is in 5th now and still uses a booster bc he has NOT exceed the height for one and still wont sit properly in a car.

5 point harness. he is small for his age. i plan to keep using the 5 point harness until he outgrows it, if i can. he gives me a hard time about it sometimes because other kids his age are in booster seats, but i tell him he is smaller than them and it's safer for him.

At 6, he was in a backless booster bc he fit the requirements and he was very good about sitting properly in the car.

my 7 year old is in a high back booster, using the car's seat belt. it wasn't all that long ago that we stopped using the 5-point harness. he's on the small side, so i feel most comfortable with the high back booster still.
