Can anyone recommend a thyroid surgeon?
It's for someone who possibly needs a partial removal of thyroid.

Re: Can anyone recommend a thyroid surgeon?
I saw John P. Sugrue, M.D., F.A.C.S. I saw him in Port Jeff though he has an office in Patchogue as well. He removed my thyroid (though to be honest I kind of wish I had gone with partial - but both he and my endocrinologist thought full would be better for a variety of reasons. ) He was very kind and patient and answered all my questions. He was reasonably easy to get a hold of and responded when I called. I think the wait at the office was a bit annoying but unfortunately I think that's just the nature of all these doctors at this point. I think he performs surgery at St. Charles and Mather hospitals.

Dr. Sanford Dubner at 410 Lakeville Road New Hyde Park (affiliated with LIJ). He was incredible to me when I had my thyroid removed.
