Am I too old....??

Hey ladies.

My 40th (eek) birthday is coming up and for the past year or so I've wanted to get either a tiny little nose stud piercing or a tattoo (my 2nd) on my birthday.

Question...am I too old to get the nose stud? I'm a music teacher in a middle school and I'm worried that it's going to be a big deal to the kids (the administration won't care...they pay my department zero mind). ....Why am I second guessing myself now...

Ugh. Thoughts and comments are welcome.

I am of the opinion that there are no age limits on anything really.
As long as you rock it and you are confident and love it, then you are not too old.
I think if you want it, go for it.
40 is not that old anymore anyway!

I repierced my nose at about 41-42. I was a 1st time grandma and didn't give a damn what anyone said. Including my daughter who rolled her eyes at me I'm now 50 and still wear it. Don't see myself taking it out anytime soon. So NO I don't think you're too old

the older i get, the more i realize that everyone who judges someone because of something like this if full of it!!

you get one go-round on this marble we call earth, you get one body to do it. if you want your body to have a little jewelry, THEN GO FOR IT.

I always wanted an eyebrow ring or a nose ring. It was going to be either/or.

But working where I work; I just couldn't.

My mother is 64 years old and she has one that she got at 58! It looks great on her and not weird at all. Very small and tasteful. For the records she doesn't look 64. She got hers before I got mine.
