How are Venmo & Paypal different?
I have a small business where people pay monthly and I'm trying to figure out if they can just Venmo and/or PayPal me but I cannot understand the difference. Anyone know? Or does anyone know a reason why a small business wouldn't be able to use Venmo to collect payments? Credit card processing fees are a lot for me to handle. Thanks!

As far as I know, Venmo doesn’t offer buyer/seller protection

Venmo is owned by Paypal. However, Venmo is designed to be much more like cash. More informal, smaller dollar amounts, and no buyer/consumer protection.
Nowhere near the customer base (yet). Last time I checked, there were around 7 million Venmo users, and close to 200 million Paypal users. But, from what I've been hearing, Venmo is become more and more popular.

there are now. unless you use your checking acct. The first time I used it I paid a friend now fee. A few months later, they wanted to charge

How are Venmo & Paypal different?
Use the PayPal.me feature to get paid. No fees and it's so simple. I set up my profile and have had clients use it a few times. I love it and will send this link to my PayPal.me feature along with my standard invoice now.

I use Venmo, no fees...so easy. I got money right away too unlike Paypal.
