Totally heartbroken... need to just get it out
In December I became pregnant with baby 4. At my first appointment there was no sac. I had a blighted ovum. I had a D&C shortly after. Fast forward to May, I became pregnant again. I was so sick right up until August. I had 3 appointment ,all times things were great. I went this morning for a scheduled appointment. The Dr couldn't find the heartbeat on the doppler. I was nervous but she said sometimes this happens. So they had me wait 4t mins for the sonogram tech. I went into her room, and she showed me my baby. I knew instantly. There was no heart beat. No movement. My beautiful baby is gone at 17 weeks. I am devestated. I was alone, as it was a normal appointment. This has been the worst day of my life. I though December was bad, but this time there was an actual baby on the screen. I am scheduled for a D&C on wed. I don't know what to do, do I name this baby? I feel like a part of me has died.

I'm so sorry. There are no words. As far as naming, if it were me I think I would give them a name to honor them.

I am so sorry  and yes I would probably name the baby to remember them. But its your personal decision.

I am so, so sorry. It is the absolute worst thing to happen to a woman.
As for a name - it's such a personal decision...Do what you feel.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Like some others said, it's a very personal choice. I know mother's who named the baby and others who didn't even want to know the gender.

I'm so terribly sorry. It must be truly heartbreaking. I think if I were in your shoes I would probably name the baby but it's a personal decision. No right or wrong answer. I'm so sorry.

I'm sorry.
They should test the baby and therefore you will find out the sex. I personally would give the baby a name and it would help mourn your child.

I am so sorry. I have been there and know some of your pain. I cannot imagine being alone. You need to do what is best for you. I just recently put up something in my home that just reminds me of her. It's a rainbow heart. I am just sharing that part because it had 15 months before I could even just look at something without tearing up thinking about her. You're in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm so sorry for what you are going through! As for naming I would. My cousin lost her baby around the same time. She had a plaque made up with the name and it's at the national shrine of divine mercy as a memorial.

I am so sorry. I had a missed miscarriage at 10 weeks (before I had my twins) and it devastated me. I still cry when I think about my 4th baby (I have 3 now-that baby would have been my first).
I probably would name the baby if I were you, but of course do what you feel. There is no right or wrong. There are no words. So truly unfair. Sending you many prayers and hugs.
