Low AMH & RE Recommendation?

I just got my AMH tested... I'm 36 years old and it came out at 2.46... my doctor said it's low and to see an RE. She said normal range is 3. As I'm looking at numbers online, they are way higher! Is there any way to increase these numbers? With every year that passes, will it go down a lot more if we can't get pregnant right away?

Also can you please recommend your RE in the Oakdale area?

Are you having issues conceiving? AMH isn't the end all and be all to fertility at all. It is more a marker for how you will react to IVF. Last my AMH was tested was when I was 32 and it was .03. I am now pregnant with number 4.

Your AMH is actually in the normal range. 2.46 is not considered low. Normal AMH is 1.5+.

When I did IVF for my DD, my AMH was .76. During my cycle that resulted in my DS, my AMH was .24.

Your AMH is good. Mine is under 1 and I'm considered DOR. When it was above 1 I was in normal range. Even when I had it tested at 31 (years ago) it was under 2 and considered normal. If you have been TTC for over 6 months then I would see a RE for testing but I wouldn't be concerned about your AMH. Sorry but I don't know any REs in Suffolk County. Hopefully some other girls can chime in.

Re: Low AMH & RE Recommendation?

I think 2-4 is considered normal. and for someone at 36 i think 2.46 is pretty good actually. I was at a 3 when i started IVF at 36. Dr was pretty impressed with that..lol.

its really just a # that doesnt tell them much other than what quantity of eggs may be left in the ovaries.
