And was anyone a little disappointed when it said "not pregnant"? Especially after he said having a son wouldn't be so bad.

Thats what I thought too? He still looked pretty good when he was reading the script with Kevin and the girls?!?
Did u notice how Randall was crying as he was packing his biological father's stuff?

I was. I felt like when they started talking it through they started to be happy. I'm sure they were relieved, but maybe disappointed too.

I don't think William died yet because when they were showing Randall packing up the boxes the Manny (can't remember his name..lol) was describing his painting and talking about death in the future....I could be completely wrong but that's how I took it...I guess we will seenext week

Good point but the fact that Randall seemed to be crying when he was packing his stuff, makes me think his father died.

Maybe he took a turn for the worse and is in hospice, but it still alive. I took it as he died but we'll find out next week.

I assumed it was a flash forward to when William dies. This show kills me. There hasn't been an episode yet where I don't cry or tear up!

I really love this show. It's so emotional every episode. Glad I decided to make this one of "my" shows without DH. I enjoy it more watching on my own time.
Can't wait til next week

The flash forward does make sense bc that night Randall and his wife were at a hotel so they couldn't have been back at the house that night. Ahh.
Who knows. Love this show though.

HMM you think the dad chose to move in with the actor. He kept saying how much talent the father had... so maybe randall is upset about that??

Ok good, at least it's not happening any time soon.
I'm so bummed that Jack died though. I was kinda suspecting it from previous episodes but now we know for sure  and it seems that the one that was the most affected was Kate.

I love Randall's father and his presence on the show so I hope he sticks around for a little bit longer.
This episode made me cry.
Life is so complicated and I felt this episode hinged on a lot of that.

I really love how they portray Kates relationship with Jack...He is her hero..
the writers of this show are brilliant..
they have great insight into how some of the most horrible tragedies of life affect all of us..

I wasn't. I was happy that it was negative. They very clearly did not want another child. I'm glad the writers kept it real- not everyone is thrilled to find out they're pregnant, even if they're married and that's ok.
It think it was pretty apparent that Jack was dead, and that's why Rebecca is with Miguel so not surprised there.
All in all, I'd say the least shocking episode yet!

This! i liked the show, but didn't get all emotional. Although I usually don't and it takes a lot, or I need to be PMS'ing super bad. 
Anyway, I was glad they weren't pregnant. I think they really were happy with their life at the moment. I also believe they would've been happy if they were pregnant too, but sometimes throwing a baby in a new show throws things off too and changes the whole story.
