I just got one. I absolutely love the soothing light it makes. Just curious if anyone uses one and sees any health benefits?

Me! I love it. I don't see any health benefits though (that I notice)
But they sure look cool (which is why I wanted one)

I am re-painting my bedroom and got one. I am looking forward to trying it out though I am a skeptic about benefits.

On a slightly related note, this is near where I live and friends have raved about it: Saltana Cave

I love the ambiance of it. It's a very soothing night light, lol.

We've had ours for a few years; its on 24/7.

Not sure if there are specific health benefits per se that we have seen........maybe we dont know or notice. Chat Icon

I have one in my sons room - it has made a huge difference in his allergies.

Anyone have a salt lamp?

Do you have to leave it on 24/7? That makes me nervous as a fire hazard.

Yes, he also has asthma and it has helped with that too.

This is just one article

Montauk Salt Cave is also opening up a location in Huntington within the next few months. I also plan on taking my son there - really does wonders for him.

Anyone have a salt lamp?

Ok so I bought two large ones from bed bath and beyond. Came home all excited. 1st one the bulb was broken off into the lamp. Second one the lamp was cracked in half. I'm 0 for 2.

Maybe I'll have better luck on Amazon?

This is something I am worried about as well! But I am curious about the positive effects it is supposed to have on allergies. Would be good for my DS. I saw one on amazon for $25 but hesitant to buy and leave in his room.

Anyone have a salt lamp?

We have one, we use it as my sons night light. Haven't noticed any real difference but I wonder if I got a real one... I know there are fakes out there. I haven't had the cajones to lick it to find out though
