The grocery store was a scary place today...
I haven't been paying much attention to the weather beyond it's supposed to be windy and maybe some rain. So I headed to the supermarket today for my usual weekly shop. MADHOUSE. No carts, shelves already almost bare, people rushing and bumping into each other.
I went through as quick as I could and just got the eff out, I was terrified

I am staying away, I did go to CVS, empty and Big lot for water, not sure why I bought that and no batteries lol

I was in home depot today getting stuff for renovation and lots of people buying batteries and flash lights. Its good to be prepared I guess but I don't think they are calling for wide spread outages.

The grocery store was a scary place today...
I took out my flashlights and batteries...with high winds there's always the chance of a branch falling and taking out the power.
Grocery store actually wasn't bad!

The grocery store was a scary place today...
We didn't really need anything. Sent DH for some bottled water this morning bc we were low anyway and he said the store was normal.

I have to say first I hope NY isnt hit hard and everyone is safe.
I miss NY but dont miss going to stores when there is a hurricane, trop storm or blizzard on the horizon. Here in NH it just like any other day. People are either really laid back or just crazy LOL

Sandy might have added to the stress but on LI people always went crazy even prior, they run out if we might get 1/4 of an inch of snow. They shop as if we live 50 or more miles from the next super market lol

The grocery store was a scary place today...
I went at 7 this morning for this very reason. I couldn't deal with the craziness.
I just hope we don't lose power, the baby is on nebulizer meds for the next 10 days and she really needs them.

 oh no, I hope she's ok. We have a battery booster box to charge our phones etc but DH told me it could run the nebulizer in a pinch!
This is the one we have. It can even start your car!

The grocery store was a scary place today...
I bought 2 extra gas cans last week. I have a generator and 25 gallons of gas we can put in the cars. I'll starve but I'll have power.

And then there was this....
With a shift east.. forecast high gusts have dropped a bit. Weather looks good today (so your backyard bbq are ok) with some gusty winds.. South shore watching for beach erosion. Not looking for much rain next few days.. most of the time it will be dry. Away from shoreline minor issues with gusty winds.

I also think it was nuts because it is back to school week. I went shopping today for school food just in case the weather is yucky tomorrow. I do not anticipate a hurricane!
