Well that's exactly the thing. If she is so comfortable with who she is, then she shouldn't lie about her size.

Well that's exactly the thing. If she is so comfortable with who she is, then she shouldn't lie about her size.
she only announced her size cause the press was labeling her plus size. she doesn't like the term plus size even if that isn't her size. otherwise its no ones business what size people are. its very possible she's a 6. i know people in smaller sizes than i would assume...people carry weight differently.

I'm with you - I enjoy her and her sketches are very much about female empowerment and the hypocrisy of Hollywood in how men and women are treated differently. I think she's fantastic and I actually loved Trainwreck so much because she felt relatable to me in that film.
I'm surprised by all the hate directed at her on here.

I loved her when her show first came out a few years ago. I liked trainwreck too but she is WAY overexposed now.
I can't hate on someone who tips servers so generously. She hasn't gotten too big for her britches.

I can take her or leave her.
Never really found her stand up too funny. Same goes for her show.
But I did love her in Trainwreck. I thought the movie was hysterical. And I really like her outlook on weight and mean girl mentality.

She said she angles from a 6-8 and I really don't think she was lying. I'm 7 inches shorter than her and not much less weight wise and a 6 so she def can be.

I swear there are some brands I can wear an XS in and others the Medium is tight

I understand clothes being cut different and vanity sizing and all that , believe me! I'm a woman who shops, so I know how crazy it is. But I'm like 40 pounds lighter than her and a size 4....that's why I don't get it. But you know what, I just can't stand her! So she could say hey I'm a size 12 or 14, and I'd still be annoyed with her!

Yeah, I agree with this. I am 5'6" and weigh in the high 130's (before my pregnancy), and I am a consistent size 8. I used to be a 6 when I was 10 pounds lighter (before children). So I really can't imagine. And it makes me think she's not so OK with her body if she's going around saying this.

I was thinking the same thing, she's got to be a 10+, which is totally fine, but why should she insist you're a 6?? Seems silly.

I never liked her UNTIL I saw Trainwrecked, plus her advocacy for woman and embracing who we are. I don't care about her size and I honestly don't care if she lies or not about it, frankly it's none of my business. I agree sometimes she does take a joke too far for the shock value (I LOVE Whitney Cummings and I think Amy is MUCH FURTHER with her rouchy-ness).

I don't know how you can tell someone size from a photo. I worked many yrds in a clothing store and was always shocked people who looked bigger than me would buy smaller sizes than I wear and people never believed I wore the size I did, they thought I was much smaller. Its all about body shape. I'm not saying she is or isn't but by looking at a photo I can't say if she is a 6 or a 10

I'm comfortable in a 10, fit in some size 8 and was a sausage in a size 6 - Lol
If I was about 160, i could probably be an 8 and get Into some 6's

It really depends on her shape and hip size
I have big hips. Even when I was 30 lbs smaller, I had to buy bigger pants and wear a belt to fit my hips in.
I'm 5'6 and 168lbs I wear a 10 and sometimes an 8. It's very possible she wears 8 and some 6 if she doesn't have wide hips. I also refuse to have muffin top, so I stick with a 10 to keep my stomach in check. A lot of people don't mind muffin top and wear the smaller size.
