new teaching job- first paycheck
switching to a LI district this year, and my last paycheck for the DOE will be on 8/31. If I have my sup. conference days for the LI job on 8/31 and 9/1, will I get my first paycheck as early as 9/1? All I see in the teacher contract is that we are paid biweekly. Would be nice to get paid on 8/31 with the city and on 9/1 with the new job!!

I can't imagine you would get paid 9/1 because you didn't work the pay period that check would be for.

You won't get paid because you didn't work that pay period. I am a new hire in the DOE and am obviously not getting a check on 8/31. My first check will be 9/15 or 9/16 because I will have worked that pay period.

I'm on LI and start back on 9/1.
Our first payday is 9/16.

I teach upstate. As stated in our contract, we get a half paycheck on 9/9 and 9/16. We get a full check on 9/30.
