Degree needed to teach high school??
Have a friend possibly interested in teaching at the high school level. She has a background in business so her bachelors and masters are both business degrees. Anyone know what she would need to teach at the high school level? Not an ed degree right? A concentration in a particular subject? Help! TIA

You need to have a certain number of education credits, psychology credits, and student teaching to become a teacher. Also, take the certification exams. She should reach out to NYSED to find out the requirements. They have changed a LOT over the years.

Degree needed to teach high school??
depends on if she wants to teach public or private school. She can teach in a private/catholic school without needing her ba/ms in education (some may require it, but i know alot won't). Public schools go according to the state requirements. she will need the degree and certifications to teach grades 7-12
