Has anybody had issues getting a fastpass for frozen ever after? That's the biggest one for us.

Is it an issue trying to get it for the beginning of your trip instead of the end (since if your onsite you can book your whole trip at the 60 day mark)

I had no problem getting it for our Feb trip. It was for the 3rd day of our trip and for 14 people. This was over the Feb break week. You shouldn't have trouble if you're on at the 60 day mark especially if you're not picky about the time of day.

Thanks ladies!

Hofstra - I'm def booking that one first and not going in day order. It will be our second day there.

Phoenix - wow, 14 people and feb break. That makes me feel bette that you got it. We're going at a quiet time and there's 3 (and a half lol) of us and I'm not too particular with time.

We're actually staying our first night in AOA in the LM room, my kids are going to freak, and then spending the rest of the trip at POR Royal Room like we originally planned. Kind of excited to kick off the trip at AOA, it'll be fun since our arrival day and 1st day we planned all fun resort things. Chat Icon

For those that have been to TRex, do you feel like it's too scary for my almost 2 yo? Heard it's loud and can be scary.

Re: Disney 2017

We just booked for last week of September!!! We're going with my sister and her fiance, and my parents, so it will be 6 adults and 1 child. Because of this we've decided to stay offsite. It's DS (5) first trip and we will be celebrating my mom's birthday! Right now I'm thinking just 2 park days MK and AK, but that leaves us one day to still decide on and then two pool/resort/ travel days. We are booking a pre park opening breakfast at Tusker House because I really want to get an early morning Safari. I can't wait!

We went when my son was 1.5 years old, he loved it and was not scared however, every kid is different. If your LO might get freaked out by the dinosaurs, ask to sit in the "ice cave". You're a little more removed from the dinosaurs if you sit in there.

It's such a fun restaurant, you'll love it!!!

So exciting!!! Have an awesome trip! I would also do Epcot if you're looking for another park day. Since you're mostly adults, walking around the countries is so nice, lots of drinking and eating. It's lots of fun!!!

I actually heard to avoid the ice cave because of the thunder and loud noise. Do you remember it being loud there?

I didn't think it was bad, mostly flickering lights which was cool. The restaurant as a whole is SO loud that you don't really notice the thunder. If your kids might be afraid of the animatronics, it's a better place to sit IMO. Chat Icon

I'd suggest going to Epcot as well. The Food and Wine Festival will be underway and that's my favorite thing to do in the whole wide world.

I thought the ice cave was super loud. But it probably depends on what you think your child might be scared of- loudness or dinos or both. There's also the "reef" area off to the left of the restaurant where there are lots of fish tanks and fewer dinos. I've taken my kids at all different ages including recently at 6 months, 3, and 5. None of them have ever been scared in there, but this last time my 3 yo did say he didn't like the storms. But it didn't bother him enough to interfere with our meal.

Hi all .. my family of 4 (2 kids, 10 and almost 5 at time of trip) is going to Disney in September for 5 days, 4 nights and staying at the Polynesian. Very excited!!
We can start making ADRs on Friday (3/24). We are using a Disney planner who has been very helpful, but wanted some other opinions as well! I have no idea if I'm overbooking us or not.

Please let me know what you think! Thanks :)

Wed (arrival day - MK): Be Our Guest (dinner)
Thurs (HS): Hollywood & Vine (lunch) and 'Ohana (dinner)
Fri (AK): Tusker House (breakfast) and Yak & Yeti (dinner)
Sat (MK): 1900 Park Fare (early dinner)
Sun: Lilo & Stitch 'Ohana Breakfast (brunch) (5:30 flight home)

Is this too much? I'm quite overwhelmed with all this planning so far in advance :)

Two sit down meals in a day is a lot IMO. That is wasting a lot of park time eating. I would nix one on the days you have two. I'm not a huge fan of sitting and eating for over an hour though. We like to eat fast, and spend more time in the parks.

Hi-
I personally don't think it's too much but I have younger kids and I feel that these ADRs give us a nice break from the heat to just relax and see characters.

Also for H&V is your intention to see Disney Jr characters or just for the food?

what time does your flight get there on arrival day? I usually don't like to plan on going into a park on arrival day... just because, even with early flights there can be delays and it can be awhile before you get to your hotel and get settled in... i like to use my park ticket days when i know i'll have a full day to go. ( Plus if we all wake up at 4 AM for the flight, its nice to just hang out by the pool once we get there...)
Hollywood and Vine and ohana dinner are both big meals... so depending on the times, that might be a lot of food back to back.... if we do 2 sit downs a day, we usually do one breakfast and one dinner so it spreads out the food a little bit....

I agree that two sit downs in one day can be a lot. I personally wouldn't plan anything for arrival day, but my kids are young and can't handle the travel plus a park.

On your AK day I would only book Tusker House and then eat dinner at the Yak & Yeti quick service. That gives you more flexibility and you still get to enjoy some of the yak and yeti food.

This would be my schedule

Wed- 1900 Park Fare (if you're really into the characters); otherwise check out Kona Cafe at Poly
Thurs- H&V (if you're really into the Dis Jr characters); otherwise just Ohana
Fri- Tusker House
Sat- Be Our Guest
Sun- Ohana

I just re-booked my trip (had to cancel April due to knee injury). We are goign in November. Staying at the Caribbean Beach. They are doing some renovations so they are giving a $75 Gift card for each night. We don't spend enough time in the hotel for it to bother us and its only on food areas.

I went through a travel agent this time so she is takign car of all my dining and fast pass booking.

Hi- we are going down to Disney in mid November 2017 (planning around a wedding we will be attending). We will probably have 3 days in Disney, which parks would you recommend for a 5 and 2 year old? I know Magic Kingdom for sure but not sure if we need more than two days there.

Also what type of dining plan, if any would you suggest? I see that they have one for quick service and other sit down.. I am not sure if the sit down included any type of character meals?
