For those with EpiPens. . .
How many do you have and where do you keep them?

I carry a two-pack on me at all times. I also have a set at home and a set at school.

We have a bunch! All those listed below are in a 2 pack (which should never be split up).
School Nurse
After school program
2 at home in a closet
1 in a backpack that we take everywhere (also has his asthma inhaler and Benadryl) - used by myself and DH
1 in my purse
Unfortunately, the dates don't match with the school year so we end up having to get more during the year b/c the ones at school expire halfway through.

Yep we also get a prescription for three twin packs that I pick up at cvs
One for home
One for school
One for diaper bag (I have a baby)
Make sure you ask your pediatrician for the zero copay card!!

stupid question...why is it so important to have the twin pack?
Isn't that just 2 doses?
Is it important because "I might use one and then forget to replace it" or is it "I might need 2 doses at the same time"

We have a twin pack at daycare, twin pack at home, and twin pack that stays in her diaper bag so whoever is with her at that moment would have them available.
I had to use it for the first time 2 weeks ago and it was right there when I needed it. She's fine, thank God.

I had to use the EpiPen two weeks ago for the first time and the ER doctor told us to make sure they aren't split up. He said you don't get a twin pack because you can leave one in one place and the other some place else, it's in case you need to administer more than one during a reaction or if the epinephrine from the first dose wears off before you get to a hospital.
