At what point can't I relax I haven't had any bleeding and cramping has been the norm just curious if I'm past the point yet or is sono with HB really tell all? Can ectopic be rule out now? Would I know by now. Had a mc in December jusf want to enjoy every moment of this pregnancy but nervous to open up

I don't think that there is a clear cut answer to that question. I may not be the right person to ask, but I used to think things would be ok after seeing a heartbeat. But then earlier this year, I had two consecutive miscarriages after I saw heartbeats.

Now I am six weeks pregnant. I find it best to simply take it day by day. I learned there are no guarantees in this. I am just grateful for each day of my pregnancy. That helps me get through.

a heart beat does not tell all in MC because you can start off fine, then have an issue.

For ectopic, usually you have pain could have bleeding, will have a rising BETA. Many Dr will perform an exam to rule out ectopic.

I think like the pp above mentioned, take a breath and take each day as it comes. Easier, I know.

if you have heard a HB and saw the sac/fetal pole, then ectopic is ruled out! I had an ectopic last Spring/early summer, and I was a nervous wreck for this pregnancy until after the 12 week scan. It's normal to be anxious going into each appt because of what you went through. I just tried not to think about it too much because i knew it wasn't good for me or the baby to worry that much. Easier said than done, but just try to relax

This!!! Speaking as a mom of two. TRY to enjoy your pregnancy as much as you can. Once the baby is here, it is wayyyy more worrysome. I always said pregnancy was the easy part lol. You will be fine, baby is fine. STRESSING out is not good. Chat Icon

I have heard that your chances of MC go down after heartbeat, and then again after the first trimester.
I have to say I never truly felt out of the woods with DD. Even at 25 weeks when we went to order her furniture I had the sales team provide a promise in writing to take back the furniture if something happened to her.

Same, but DS is almost 2! I was most nervous from weeks 1-20.

You'll relax when you can feel the baby moving. Probably a few months away still.

I relaxed at 38w2d when dd was born. I was a nervous wreck the entire time and didn't enjoy my pregnancy at all. Don't be me....try to enjoy it!

Now that she's here I'm a different kind of nervous!

37 weeks and I still worry- every weird twinge, every "quiet" day when she isn't bouncing off the walls in there, every time I leak a little, both times I fell... it's a long 9 months!

Scratch that- I don't think I'll EVER not worry even after birth.

Exactly. I remember when I was pregnant with my first, I just kept thinking that I would finally be able to relax and not worry once he was born. Chat Icon Yeah, I really didn't understand that the worrying never ends. Mayyyyybe I'll relax a little when he's 30? Maybe?

But in all seriousness, the 1st trimester is so hard because of all the worry. After your NT scan you should feel a bit better and more at ease. But the worry never really goes away.

6w6d at what point can I relax

It took awhile to conceive this baby, and I had some losses in between so I was nervous for a long long time. I think I finally accepted it was real well into the second trimester.

I am 4 days late, and I still think of something bad happening here and there. Not often, but it has crossed my mind. Until he is in my arms I think I will feel this way.

I think when you have losses the innocence of a happy and healthy pregnancy is robbed from you forever.

Good luck xoxoxo

If you're anything like me, never lol but... Once I started feeling baby move and hit my first viability milestone I felt a ton better! 30 weeks this week! Ready for it to be over!

Sadly, i agree. I've always been a worrier and pair that with a few losses and well you have one hot mess of a mama to be!
I also had a stressful pregnancy being high risk so I often wonder how I will be if I have a single pregnancy one day. Odds are I'll feel exactly the same way.

I felt better once I felt the baby move. Then when I didn't feel him/couldn't get him to move I would make myself completely nuts. I think as a mom you don't ever stop worrying.

This is very true. With my first I got pregnant right away and didn't experience any losses prior. Once I heard the heartbeat I felt like I was in the safe zone. I cant say I didn't worry at all, but it was far and few between moments throughout my pregnancy.

This time around we experienced several losses before this pregnancy. I have worried every single waking moment (and even in my sleep) since we got our BFP. I've heard that beautiful heartbeat and the doctor has told me numerous times that everything looks great. I'm excited for this little one, but there is a small part of me that isn't allowing myself to fully "feel" it. I'm terrified of another loss and I guess I'm subconsciously protecting myself. I know deep down that I wont be able to stop worrying until this baby is in my arms. Unfortunately, prior losses have jaded me. The best advice I can give is to try your best to just relax and enjoy the ride. Easier said than done though and I have to constantly try to remind myself to take that advice.
