Dystopian Future Books

I have read so many dystopian future books and I love them. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Red Rising by Pierce Brown. I think it's my favorite of all time- in fact the third book just came out this week! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Some others I liked, I'll include the super popular ones on the off chance you haven't read them:

Hunger Games (Of course)
Maze Runner
Delirium
Divergent
Uglies
Legend
Unwind
Pines (Wayward Pines trilogy)
Angelfall (Penryn & the End of Days)
The 5th Wave
The Girl With All the Gifts
Ready Player One
Ender's Game
The Giver
Brave New World
Fahrenheit 451
The Passage (Though it was loooooooong, I still haven't had it in me to start book two.)
Cinder
The Knife of Never Letting Go

Some I wasn't crazy about:

The Road (HATED)
Feed
Red Queen (HATED- It's like a terrible rip off of Red Rising)
Station Eleven (It was good, but slow moving- a far cry from the fast paced dystopia I'm used to)

On my to-read list:

The Handmaid's Tale (Can't believe I never read this classic)
Wool Omnibus
Never Let Me Go
Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? (Another classic!)
Shatter Me
The City of Ember
Partials
Life As We Knew It
Slated
Blood Red Road
The Forest of Hands and Teeth

I love dystopian books as well, so if you have any recs for me, please share! I'm always looking for something new and there's SO many that I'm not sure of.

Thanks so much! Some of the ones you listed, I have already read and loved. I don't have any ones to add to the list - If I think of any I'll let you know!

Now that my DS is getting more independent I feel like I have a little time to read books of my own instead of just board books with one sentence per page!

I have read The Passage and its sequel - The Twelve. I found The Passage to be a little slow in the beginning, but it picked up nicely at the end. I really like the sequel. I just placed a hold on the third book, City of Mirrors. I will add that these books are definitely more strict sci fi than dystopian future. I can't wait for the movies to come out!

The Stand by Stephen King is the best ever written in this genre, in my humble opinion.
The Passage series by Justin Cronin
The Age of Miracles by Karen Thompson Walker
Into the Forest by Jean Hegland (no one EVER knows this book but it is so weird and well written it deserves to be read!!!)

There's a new one that just came out about a week ago that's a twist on dystopia, and I couldn't put it down:

All Our Wrong Todays, by Elan Mastain

It's just so incredible.

I'm currently reading The Age of Miracles. I am not very far in, but so far I really like the writing! :)

I've already read the Passage series - by far my FAVORITE SERIES EVER!!!
