Yeah I'm actually asking this already...NYC Schools and Monday
Yes I know we "NEVER" close, and I know they have tomorrow to clean up, but with the severity of this historic storm, do you think school will be opened on Monday or won't they be able to get them ready? For the first time like EVER I'm actually wondering this. This storm is no joke! I'm pretty darn nervous to have to drive to work Monday and then on top of that, the parking---forget it, nobody will get parking!
I bet LI schools close or definitely have a delay.

I would assume school will take place on Monday. They are lifting the travel ban tomorrow morning at 7am. I live in Queens and teach in Manhattan. We have not seen a plow yet but I would assume they will catch up tomorrow.

They have a full day (a weekend day) to recover the streets from this mess. I'd be shocked and disappointed if schools are closed.

I'd be shocked if LI schools don't have a delayed opening on Monday. It doesn't take much for my district to call a delay. However, knowing the city schools and my experience with them I'm sure it will be business as usual for them. Good luck.

Regents Week is only 4 days and starts on Tuesday this year.

If I can't get in due to my children's school being closed or unsafe conditions, so be it. If I get there and I can't park-I get there when I get there. They barely clean where I work-I have pics of buses slipping and sliding due to poor cleaning-what a shame.

I think LI schools will have a delay. My town has just started to plow and I know my district wasn't even bringing in crews until this afternoon to get ready.

They asked the mayor yesterday afternoon, he said they will be open.

I'm also in NJ and both school districts near me are closed. I did hear on the radio that NYC schools are open tomorrow
