shettles method?

Anyone use this for a girl? Can you please explain to me what you did and for how long? I'm not looking for judgement just experience. Thanks

shettles method?

I was not trying to select for gender but everything I did was the exact opposite of what is proposed by Shettles and I have a beautiful daughter.
The only studies that confirm the Shettles method for gender selection are the ones done by Shettles.

Re: shettles method?

I tried this...

First, I changed my diet a bit (increased greens and yogurt) and played around with timing...

After a few months of no success, I didnt care anymore and was just desperate to get pregnant with a baby period.

I had a few things going on and once all of that got worked out, 7 months later; I successfully got pregnant. I BD the day before my +OPK, the day of and the 2 days after.

My pregnancy with DD did take quite a bit longer to show up on a hpt then it did with my boys, but I did have some low estrogen issues in the beginning- so Im not sure if thats because of that or because the "girl" sperm took longer to find and fertilize the egg like shettles suggests.... (no science here, just something I noticed!)

I still think there is no harm in playing around with this method, as long as you are planning to welcome a baby of any gender into your family (as I know you would be!)

shettles method?

I don't believe in it, but it's worth a shot. Everything we did while conceiving naturally this pregnancy was the opposite and it's a girl. Even Drs will say there's no truth to those theories.

Re: shettles method?

We did this completely unintentionally both times (timing wise, no diet changes as I've read some people do) and it worked for us how it's supposed to. Could be a total coincidence though. Worth a try but I wouldn't count on it working.

eta- We have a boy and a girl. I do suspect that some women's bodies are just much more inclined to one gender due to pH or something. My grandmother had 5 girls, for example, I have a friend who has 5 boys.
