I believe after they actually have it. But can be contaigious for up to 2 weeks especially in toddlers

This just ran through my house two weeks ago...I got it first on a Saturday afternoon...my dd got it a day and 1/2 later...my son got three days after my daughter and my husband got it the following Saturday....so it took a full week to cycle through 4 of us

Depends on which stomach virus. I think rotavirus you are contagious before 1st sign of illness then a few days after until 2weeks. Noro I think when you start to feel ill until a few days to two weeks after.
