Electric Fireplace
DH and I are considering getting a fireplace/ tv console combo. I was wondering if it affects electric bills a lot. We have oil heat so I was hoping it would help us save on oil. I just don't want our electric bill going up a lot either. The model we are looking at has 5120 max BTU's and 1500 maximum wattage.

I don't know how big ours is but it has LED lights for the fire and it heats up to around 400 square feet. Dh says it's about $1 a day extra. If you run it all day. We love it!!! It really works to heat our den up!
