Best personalized Baby gift you've given or received
I recently found out one of In-law's is having a baby. It will be their first baby and a little girl. What is something meaningful/personalized I can give besides the registry gift I will eventually give. I want to get something special (I'm pretty sure DH will be godfather). I love etsy but there are so many things to choose from. Any advice is appreciated.

"My Very Own Name" book. It's my favorite. We received one for DS1 and when DS2 was born someone else got it for him. They never will get old or they won't grow out of it bc it's about their name and how they were named. Even at 5yrs old DS1 still loves for us to read it. It's timeless. For DS1 they also got a plate that matched it and I had it on his shelf for a while.

Pottery Barn Kids Ceramic Elephant piggy bank! I have one for my DD & DS and I love them. They make other animals besides Elephants. PBK has beautiful baby items.

I find ll bean or lands end tote bags to be really useful and practical. The large one is good as an overnight or beach bag, and the medium size one is great as an overnight bag when they are little, and for toting swim/gymnastics/ballet etc gear when they are older. I have 4 kids ages 1-9 and we still use them a ton.

My favorite is the Tiffany & Co. piggy bank in either blue dot or pink dot.
Pottery Barn Kids also has a silver rattle that you can have inscribed.
I also love the My Very Own Name book mentioned above.
The PBK soft stroller blanket is adorable too.
On the Pottery Barn Kids website -- when you look at the keepsake section, you'll see along with the rattle, a wooden block you can have personalized once they give birth.
Lots of suggestions! :) :)
Love them all :) :) THey are my go-to gifts!

Me too! I have this same one. I love that it's gray bc her room is lavender and gray.
Also the Sherpa pb monogram blanket.
I have one of those huge lands end tote bags w dd's monogrammed initials which is awesome for the beach bc it literally holds everything including sand toys.
Also dd has Ralph Lauren mono towels with her name written on them. They're from horchow. They're totally normal sized towels but I've been using them since age 1. She grew out of those baby hooded towels. And she loves them and looking at her name.

Puzzle with his name in it. It's awesome because it's a learning toy - he puts together tons of puzzles at 20 months and can spell his name. The puzzle was definitely a help because we played with it all the time!

I got my SIL a notebook from Things Remembered with a silver cover, and had the baby's name engraved with a short poem. It was so she could keep a journal of cute/funny things the baby did or her thoughts for the baby. She loved it.

Hooded towel, burp cloths and bibs that are personalized and embroidered.
I just did a large embroidered personalized tote( like land end) inside was a personalized hooded towel and couple of burp cloths.....

I have this for DS! Its nice we displayed it below our wedding plaque in our living room. If we have another then that baby's plaque will go below.. sort of like building our family

Step stool with a wooden puzzle that spells the child's name.
Pottery barn kids personalized jewelry box. But please note that it can take a really long time to receive it. I ordered one in August and did not receive it until November.

We got address labels with our family name on it and a little cartoon face for each of one, Mom, Dad and Baby. It was fun to send out thank you cards and birth announcements using them.
