help finding a hotel midway between NC and NY....
It's a long story but we are looking for a family friendly hotel to stay at on the way home from the outer banks at the end of the month...somewhere between there and NY. Mid way preferable. With a pool, maybe something for the kids to do near by.
Areas I can think of that seem half way are inner harbor, or Washington or somewhere in Delaware.
ANY IDEAS???

Rehobeth Beach, DE is about half way. They have some family friendly hotels right on the beach.
Ocean city, MD would be great. They have a lot of family stuff to do. It's a beach town. They have hotels for family's, with all suite and kitchens.
Washington DC, Baltimore and Alexandria would also be great but to go home that way would be a little out of your way bc you have to head west.

considered DC. We are staying on the outer banks in NC so do not want to do another beach hotel on way back.
Someone with us will need to stop mid way so that is why I am looking, I do not want to have 3 bored kids and thought maybe I could find a hotel with an awesome pool/ nearby attraction etc that doesn't break the bank or tire us out too much.

DC has a great zoo they have the panda bears. not sure how many days your looking to fill.

I would stay in DC... there is plenty to do there and most of the museums there are free! (at least thats what we found when we went). We stayed at a hotel in Arlington, VA though (was cheaper), and we took the metro into DC.

DC/Baltimore is probably the best area between NC/NY.
If you don't want to stay in DC, you stay in the surrounding areas for less $$ (Silver Spring, College Park) and are right near I95.
Baltimore Harbor is nice too but probably expensive.
So many things to do in DC/MD.

We live in the DC area. Tons to do around here. I don't know if you want to just park off the highway and do a half day activity or spend 1-2 days.
Richmond, DC, Baltimore would all work for you with plenty of kid friendly activities.

we would be spending only one night, so really only need one activity.....heck even just a nice hotel with a nice place to eat would be enough.
any nice hotel for kids rec's? With pool?
