MY RING IS STUCK AND MY FINGER IS SWELLING. HELP!!
For a fleeting moment last night my "right hand ring" that DH had bought me fit on my finger. I was so happy that I slid it on- it hasn't fit in months since I was pregnant. I then realized "Maybe this wasn't such a good idea" and tried to take it off. No go. Now my finger is swollen and I can't get this bad boy off. I have tried cold water, olive oil, soap, windex- NADA. I also took a water pill (and am drinking lots of water) hoping that will help....
I saw a video about using an elastic band, but I am not sure if that would work!!

Go into the cold...my fingers shrink in cold and my rings slide off better...maybe it will help?
Also, don't panic it makes it worse

Ice? I mean you might need it to get really cold to bring the swelling down. Otherwise, you may need to go have it removed.  Cold water and soap has worked for me in the past- and my ring was actually bent out of shape after a mini fridge fell on my hand.

Is the ring cutting off circulation? If not, maybe take a break from trying to get it off. The more you try, the more you're probably making your finger swell. In the meantime, try to keep your hand elevated and hold an ice cube for a while to try to shrink it back down. Then spray lots of windex on it to help slide the ring off.

First relax this happened to me during my first pregnancy and I was in a panic. Run your hand under cold water and get some type of oil. Make sure the drain is down in the sink. Soak your finger in the oil and it should slide off.

I panicked too when this happened! The ice and water really work, breathe, relax and wait for the swelling to go down. the more you tug, the more you will swell.
When you;re ready, Pam works great.

Ice your hands above your head & you may have some luck with taping down the swelling on your hand.
I had to get a ring cut off (fire department & jewelry stores have ways of getting them off). If it's not going down head there. My finger was getting very red by the time I got there.

Windex! This happened to me when I got engaged and wore a too small ring all day. Windex was what did the trick! Spray some on your finger and the ring should come off.

Stick your finger/hand in an ice pack and hold it up for a while, then try soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc - something slippery.

Both of my rings that I wear together were stuck when I was pregnant. Seriously stuck! I got it off by sucking on the ring and moving it in tiny amounts over two hours. Also. I kept putting my finger in snow. Ultimately, spit and snow worked. I was scared for my life.

This same exact thing happened to me after my son was born….I literally tried every thing and any thing….my finger was so swollen and it literally started turning blue from actually trying to get it off. On Thanksgiving Day, my Dad literally had to cut it off my finger….he put a tiny slit into it….forget what tool he used, but it was off and I was distraught…..but the jeweler was able to fix it….they would've had to cut it any ways so it all worked out for the best…had it resized and thankfully all is fine (it was my engagement ring too so I was afraid the diamonds would pop)…if you have to go to the hospital they would cut it too….Hoping you are able to get it off…..just know I feel your pain

i had a ring cut off by the fire department one time... just drove up and asked them. it was no biggie (also i didnt care too much about the ring)

I finally got it off! I did a "clean eating" challenge on fb - i think that helped! I'm going to get it made bigger before I ever put it on again. Thanks for all the tips!
