Gifts for 5 yr old boy
DS's bday isn't for a while, but wanted to start a list when people ask what to get him.
I feel like I give a generic list like... cars, anything Avengers or superhero, books, cars, racetracks, etc.
Then I go to the store and see cool stuff that would be good like walkie talkie, alarm clock, etc.
Needed ideas for his 5th bday. What cool alarm clock? Is there a cool superman one?
maybe rollerblades?
He has a bike, pretty new swingset we got last summer, bounce house, tons of cars and wall tracks, etc.

My almost 5yo is obsessed with legos.
He and his younger brother love switch and go dinos. When we host play dates, the other kids all seem to really like the switch and go dinos. I believe they are new.

If you have a Wii or PS3 you could ask for Disney Infinity characters or Skylanders? Ninja turtles are pretty popular. GC for Build a Bear. For summer - water guns.

How is the skylander game?
My almost 5yo mentioned this and I had no idea what he was talking about. I know he has never played since we don't have a wii or ps3. He may have seen it on a commercial or friend from school could have mentioned it.

To get Skylanders or Disney Infinity you also need to have a PS3/4, xbox/one. I would not get a wii for getting Skylanders or DI but a Wii on its own is a good intro gaming unit.
As for toys for a 5 year old - transformers, legos, board games, perplexus.
