Anyone know where you can find marzipan candy? It's my 80 year old aunt's favorite and I wanted to pick her up some, but can't seem to find it anywhere.

D'Aquila in Bayside, Cross Island Bakery (in the supermarket) in Lynbrook, Agrigento Bakery in Island Park.

If you are looking for fresh (not packaged) - this tends to be a seasonal item and you see it a lot around Easter time - so I would call ahead to ask.

Yes, i remember seeing so many there.

They also have chocolate covered marzipan.

I LOVE marzipan. I do have to say it is an acquired taste.

It's almond paste which is usually found in rainbow cookies.

I worked at the Chocolatier for over 13 years and dark chocolate covered marzipan was (and still is) to this day my absolute favourite!

Re: Marzipan

This is my absolute favorite candy. The absolute best marzipan is sold at fairway and forest pork store and made in Germany. The brand is niederegger and its sold in a bar. I've probably tried every marzipan around and this is my favorite. I will still gladly eat others but I prefer this to the candy shop. It is dark chocolate covered which I much prefer over the plain fruit shaped marzipan.

This. Any German deli should have it. Marzipan is huge in Germany. You can also get it on Amazon. That's if you want the real marzipan, Niederegger. Which kind of marzipan do you want?

To the person who asked what it is- it's almond paste with sugar added to it.

The chocolate aisle in fairway. At the one in plainview it's at the very beginning of the aisle right next to the bakery section.
