question for ladies who sew
Ladies who sew...what is a good resource in nassau or not too far east for great prices on sewing machines and sergers? My dad is buying me a serger so I can start a WAHM business but budget is on the lower end so I'd like to make sure we get the best bang for our buck.

Not familiar with industrial sergers, as I only sew for my daughter and nieces, but the Brother serger on Walmart.com is what most people recommend for at home use. I think it's $199 or less. Babylock machines have a good reputation, but I don't know of any dealers local (although I've never really looked)

I have the Brother 1034d and got it from Amazon for about $180. Joann sells it but not sure about locally. I love mine, once I got the tension figured out. Yay for home sewers!

I would definitely check out Amazon. They've had a lot of daily deals on different machines lately.
